ARTEL is a group of professional artists who collaborate to exhibit their work whilst establishing a dynamic community. Working in the South Downs area, each artist has developed a unique and informed practice. The artwork from this covers a rich and diverse range of subjects and media shared through an annual show in Chichester at the Oxmarket Contemporary gallery.

Title “Home”
In this piece, Liz is focusing on the concept of time and memory, particularly the place where the family are united: Home.
Each book represents a close family member and celebrates their rich and unique story. They are brought together as a collective, each interconnected to the next through time and circumstance. The generations united as one family.
Life moves on and circumstances change, but our memories of a special place are a constant that we can all take with us.
Liz Hanan graduated from Chichester University in 2007 with a Fine Art degree. She has been practicing predominantly as a ceramicist ever since and exhibits regularly both locally and further afield.
